Mamie Lee Penick Cheatham

Mrs. Mamie Lee Penick Cheatham, 76, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Chase City Health and Rehab Center, Chase City, VA. Mrs. Cheatham was born in Mecklenburg County, VA January 29, 1944 to the late John and Annie Snead Penick. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Cheatham, Sr.; one son, Jimmy, Jr.; two daughters, Shirley and Donna Cheatham; two sisters, Elsie Carrington and Pearline Marable; one brother, Joe Penick, and two granddaughters, Teresa Cheatham Boyd and Felicia Walker. Cherishing her memories are her son, Alfred Cheatham of Chase City, VA; four grandsons, Marcus, Azablon, Javonte and Kevin Cheatham all of Chase City, VA; one granddaughter, Dominique Cheatham of Chase City, VA; six great-grandchildren; life-long friends; Patsy Keene and Mildred Fuller, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
