Mable Hargrove Wynn, 76, of Cocoa, FL and formerly of Boydton, VA departed this life on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Wuesthoff Medical Center. Mrs. Wynn was born the fourth of thirteen children to the late Robert Lee Hargrove, Sr. and Mary Magdalene Hargrove on March 9, 1941 in Boydton, Virginia. As a young girl, Mable professed Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at St. Taylor R.Z.U.A. Church. She was educated in the Mecklenburg County Public School System and graduated from West End High School in 1959. Following graduation, she moved to Newark, New Jersey where she was employed by Deluxe Redding Company. She was later employed by New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, from which she retired after twenty-seven years of employment, in 1992. She joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. R. D. Renfro, and served faithfully in the music department. Many who knew Mable and her two older sisters would attest to the fact that they were, in fact, “the choir”. In 1962, Mable met the love of her life, Mr. Willie Frank Wynn. Following two years of courtship, they were wed on June 12, 1964. Four sons and one grandson were raised under the umbrella of this union. Upon relocating to Cocoa, Florida, she joined Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member of the adult choir and consistently attended Sunday school and Bible Study. Mable had a strong desire to study the word of God. She was active in the Tribe of Ruben and worked diligently to propel the advancement of Kingdom building. Mable enjoyed remembering family, friends, and church members with beautiful cards for any occasion. She had a one of a kind, sweet voice that would certainly make you feel very special if you received a telephone call from her. She loved her family immensely. She was never too busy to lend a helping hand and, her home was always open to someone in need. She was also an experienced, patient, and loving caregiver. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Mary Hargrove, eight siblings (Dorothy, Garfield, James, Ellen, Ralph, Edna, Mary Elizabeth, and Pauline), six brothers-in-law (Sammy, Sid, Otis, Elroy, Charlie Lee, and Eddie) and one sister-in-law Ruthamae.
