Lula Arrington Russell

Mrs. Lula Arrington Russell, 81 of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Russell was born April 9, 1925 in Franklin, NC to the late Herbert and Caroline Alston Arrington. She was a member of Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA and a homemaker. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband Ralph McCoy Russell Sr., three brothers and one sister. Cherishing her memories are three daughters, Clara R. Elliott of Richmond, VA, Lucille R. Watson and Caroline R. Redd both of Chase City, VA; one son, Ralph Russell Jr. of Chase City, VA seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Arrington Russell will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 17, 2006 at Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer, officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
