Lucille Terry Royster

Ms. Lucille Terry Royster, 92, of Greensboro, NC and formerly of Nelson, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Greensboro, NC. Ms. Royster was born in Clarksville, VA on May 1, 1927 to the late Stephen and Mammie Webb Terry. At an early age, she joined Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2 in Clarksville, VA. She worked as a Home Health Attendant for several years and found joy in helping other people. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Javi’vion Floyd Hilliard Cabbagestalk; two brothers, Len Terry and James Terry, and one sister, Eliza Terry. Cherishing her memories are her six children, Willie Mae Royster of Brooklyn, NY, James C. Royster of Greensboro, NC, Mary “Rose” Jones of Bronx, NY, Randy A. Cabbagestalk (Carolyn) of Brooklyn, NY, Rachel Spruill of Clarksville, VA and Anthony J. Royster of Greensboro, NC; 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Nathaniel Terry (Roberta) and Stephen Terry, Jr. all of Chesterfield, VA; one sister, Emma M. Venable (Sydney) of Clarksville, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Lucille Terry Royster will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 30, 2019 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Cornelius Ogburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville.
