Louise Small Terry

Mrs. Louise Small Terry, 83, of Henderson, NC entered eternal rest Friday, October 10, 2014 at Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Henderson, NC. Mrs. Terry was born in Vance County, NC June 13, 1931 to the late Benjamin and Martha Terry Small.  She attended the schools of Vance County and joined Antioch United Church of Christ, Townsville, NC.  Upon relocating to Clarksville, VA, she joined Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Savannah Terry, seven sisters and two brothers. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Martha Ann Terry; four grandchildren; two sisters, Rosa Tinsley of Henderson, NC and Estella Daniels of Colony, TX; three brothers-in-law, Melvin Hargrove of Henderson, NC, Rev. John M. Terry (Mary) of Plainfield, NJ and Alaster Terry of Morristown, NJ; four sisters-in-law, Lovella Smith  of Clarksville, VA and Catherine Burwell, Ruth Burwell and Joyce Small all of Morristown, NJ, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Small Terry will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Raymond Roberts, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Public viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday from 10:00 A.M.  until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
