Louise Green Spruill

Mrs. Louise  Green Spruill, 82, of Macon, NC and formerly of Bullock, NC entered eternal rest Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Spruill was born in Granville County, NC October 21, 1931 to the late Samuel and Lucy Henderson Royster. She received her education in the Granville County schools and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, where she served as an usher.  Mrs. Spruill worked as a Teacher's Assistant in the NYC School System and was a former employee of Burlington Industries, Clarksville, VA. She also worked as a caregiver for the elderly for many years, and was a member of the Heritage Quilters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Green and her second husband, Willie Norman Spruill, one stepson, three brothers and five sisters. Cherishing her memories are  three children, Ione Long (Russell) of Creedmoor, NC, Kevin Green of the home and Barry Green (Vivian) of Bullock, NC; 6 grandchildren, Samara, Devon, Kyran, Lakisha (Tyrone), Khalil and Adele (Darren); 5 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Samir, Tamyra, Taylor and Jaylen; one brother, Edgar Royster (Vivian) of Bullock, NC; one sister, Lucy Hargrove of Buffalo, NY; eight sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; two special god-daughters, Penny Pulley of Brooklyn, NY and Vicky Williams of Oxford, NC; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Green Spruill will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 23, 2013 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #2, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Cornelius Ogburn, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friend on Sunday at Betts & Son Funeral Home, Oxford, NC from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
