Louise Blanche Robinson

Mrs. Louise Blanche Robinson, 95, of Richmond, VA and formerly of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, April 18, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Robinson was born in Lunenburg County, VA April 29, 1926 to the late Archie and Blanche Walker Watts. She attended the schools of Lunenburg County, VA and was a member of Mount Mitchell Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA. Mrs. Robinson was previously employed at Tak-A-Toy, Landover, MD. In her spare time she enjoyed bingo, fishing, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Robinson; her children, Harvey Hurt, Joe Ann Tucker, Charles Tucker, Major Hurt and Larry Tucker; two granddaughters, Aniya Watkins and Lashawn Tucker; six sisters and five brothers, and a beloved friend, Robert Powell. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, William and Samuel Hurt of Washington, DC; three daughters, Doris Watkins and Patricia Tucker of Richmond, VA and Anna M. Gilbert (Steven) of Magnolia, AR; eleven grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie Watts of Victoria, VA, Willie Watts of NY, and James Gayles of SC; three sisters, Mary Branch of Chase City, VA, Janis Smith (Leroy) of NY and Janie Bacon (Lester) of Myrtle Beach, SC; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Mount Mitchell Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Fran S. Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Mount Mitchell Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
