Mrs. Louise Ardelle Brown House 90, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 at Chase City Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mrs. House was born in Mecklenburg County, VA March 8, 1918 to the late Ulysses S. and Della E. Jones Brown. She received her education in the Mecklenburg County School System. Mrs. House was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Boydton, VA. She was a former member of the Usher Board, the Church Choir, and the Missionary Board. Mrs. House was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward House, her brothers, James, Ulysses, John, Thomas, George and Walter; her sisters, Lucy and Parthenia and a daughter-in-law, Joyce House. Cherishing her memories are four sons, James House (Eunice)of Chase City, VA, Thomas House (Mintie) of Red Oak, VA, Alphonso House of Baskerville, VA and Donald House (Reana) of Boydton, VA; eleven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rhoena Brown, Purcell Moss, Rev. Juanita Stanfield (Floyd), Calvin House (Betty), Mildred House, Loretta House, Joyce Austin (Joe); two God-Daughters, Patricia B. Brown and Helen B. Thompson; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Ardelle Brown House will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 13, 2009 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Boydton, VA with Rev. Tyrone Pulliam, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
