Louisa Gail Overby Wilson

Mrs. Louisa Gail Overby Wilson, 66, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on

Sunday, December 22, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Wilson was born October 15, 1958 in Peekskill, NY to the late James Elijah

Overby, Sr. and Joan Winfield Overby. She received her education in the Peekskill

City Schools and graduated in 1976. Mrs. Wilson worked for Cisco Foods and

Alliant Food Services in Maryland. Upon relocating to Virginia, she worked for

Sentara Hospital in Danville, VA and Granville Hospital in Oxford, NC in the

billing department. She was a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her infant

daughter Ebony; sisters, Charlye and Doris, and brother, Thomas.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ronald Wilson of Chase City, VA;

son, Justin Wilson and daughter, Brandi Wilson, both of Maryland; step-son,

Timothy Hunter of Asheville, NC; seven grandchildren, Jada, Justin Jr, Giselle,

Jayden, Jazra, Nylah, and Xiona; five sisters, Betty Overby, Barbara Winston,

Jerry Carter, Enolia Gibbs (Larry), and Audrey Overby; three brothers, James

Overby (Carol), Edward Overby (Wendy), and Darryl Overby, and a vast number

of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Louisa Gail Overby Wilson will be conducted 12:00

Noon Monday, December 30, 2024 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home,

Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Michael D. Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow

in St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing for

family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
