Lorinzo Ricardo Wilson

Mr. Lorinzo Ricardo Wilson, 39, of Durham, NC and formerly of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. Mr. Wilson was born in South Boston, VA March 31, 1973 to the late Lawrence K. Wilson and Margaretta Gayles Wilson.  He was a former employee of Mecklenburg Correctional Center, Boydton, VA. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Carlotta L. Swinney-Wilson of Durham, NC ; three children he raised as his own, Geneva Couch of Victoria, VA, Jasmine Nelson of Clover, VA and Khaleemah Hamlor of Red House, VA; his mother, Margaretta G. Wilson of Red Oak, VA; two sisters, Diane Wilson of Philadelphia, PA and Tiffany Gooch (Rodney) of Nelson, VA; mother-in-law, Alphieaus Swinney of Durham, NC; four brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lorinzo R. Wilson will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Pastor Michael Rogers, delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Saint Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the church. Viewing for Mr. Wilson will be Friday form 10:00 A.M. until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
