Lorenza Harris, Sr.

Mr. Lorenza Harris, Sr., 101, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Wayland Nursing and Rehab Center, Keysville, VA.

Mr. Harris was born in Charlotte County, VA on June 7, 1923 to the late Daisy Harris and Violet Lambert. He attended the schools of Charlotte County and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Drakes Branch. Mr. Harris retired from the logging industry and was a veteran of the United States Army. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Alice Harris, three sisters and three brothers.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his son, Lorenza Harris, Jr. of Saxe, VA; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Curtis Harris of Saxe, VA; sister, Mary Francis Green of Clover, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Lorenza Harris, Sr. will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, April 25, 2025 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch with Rev. Dr. Horace B. Parham, Jr. officiating. Burial  will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will begin on Friday from 12:00 to 12:45 P.M. at the church.
