Linnette Bass Spencer

Mrs. Linnette E. Bass Spencer, 72, of Buffalo Junction, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA. Mrs. Spencer was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on August 23, 1949 to the late Matthew L., Sr. and Estel Beasley Bass. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA, and was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Skipwith, VA. Mrs. Spencer was formerly employed by Russel Stover Candies in Clarksville, and enjoyed listening to gospel music, and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her brother, David Bass, and nephew, Rod Bass. She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Wanda Bass, Daryl Bass and LaTasha Spencer; three grandchildren, Shaniqua, Jalisa, and Jymeya; one great-grandchild; her siblings, Gail Bass, Francis Watson, Mildred Bass, Deborah Bass, Frank Bass (Betty), Tony Bass, Sr. (Yvonne), Matthew Bass, Jr. (Francine), Calvin Bass (Margaret);her devoted friend and soulmate, James Pettus, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services with limited seating for Mrs. Linnette Bass Spencer will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Andy Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in New Light Baptist Church Cemetery, Skipwith, VA. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. A mask is required for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by C. H.
