Lillie Mae Jones

Mrs. Lillie Mae Jones, 87, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Mrs. Jones was born in Wylliesburg, VA February 10, 1925 to the late Bud and Annie Belle Alexander Gregory. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Union Hill RZUA Church, Baskerville, VA. Mrs. Jones was a retiree of the Mecklenburg County Sheriffs Dept. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Jones, three children, and eleven siblings. Cherishing her memories are thee daughters, Wondia Jones of Chase City, VA, JoAnn Jones-Brown (George L.) of South Hill, VA and Lillie Taylor (Winfield) of Hopewell, VA; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society, 104 Dan Circle, Clarksville, VA 23927 Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
