Lester Eugene Harris

Mr. Lester Eugene Harris, 62, of Keysville, VA entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation, Keysville, VA. Mr. Harris was born in Charlotte County, VA August 2, 1956 to the late Haywood and Mary Frances Harris. He attended Charlotte County Public Schools, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA. He was a former employee of Global Safety Textile, South Hill, VA. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Tracey Woods Harris of Keysville, VA; a son, Lamont Harris of Chase City, VA; a daughter, Simone Harris of Keysville, VA; three sisters, May Willie Barnes of Baltimore, MD, Geraldine Lacks (Ben) of Clover, VA and Elnora Taylor of Baltimore, MD; three brothers, Jerry Harris of South Boston, VA, Haywood Harris (Brenda) of Baltimore, MD and Robert Harris of Randolph, VA; his mother-in-law, Beulah Wood of Wylliesburg, VA; one sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law; devoted friend, Donald Goode, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lester Eugene Harris will be conducted 2:30 PM Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
