Mr. Leroy Crawley, 62, of Halifax, VA entered eternal rest Monday April 9, 2007 at MCV-VCU Medical Center, Richmond, VA. Mr. Crawley was born in Charlotte County, VA June 9, 1944 to the Joseph and Frances Redd Crawley. He received his education in the Charlotte County Schools and was a member of First Baptist Church, of Wylliesburg, VA. Prior to becoming disable he was an employee of J.R. Tharpe Trucking Co. Cherishing his memories is his wife, Corina Crawley of Saxe, VA; two sons, Corey Crawley of Clover, VA and Jonathan Daniel of Phenix, VA; six grandchildren, one sister, Bernice Foster of Clover, VA; five brothers, Clarence Redd of Kingston, NY, Edward Crawley and John Henry Crawley, both of Clover, VA, Joseph Junior Crawley of South Boston, VA and Johnnie Watson of Chase City, VA; two aunts, Alma Staten of Saxe, VA and Josephine Paige of Newark, NJ; one uncle, Mack Skipper of Wylliesburg, VA; one great-aunt, Betty Hamlette of Connecticut, one great uncle Henry Redd of Saxe, VA; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Crawley and Obie Watson; one brother-in-law, Ira Foster and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Leroy Crawley will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Saxe, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
