Lawrence Elam

Mr. Lawrence Elam, 71, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, February 16, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Elam was born in Charlotte County, VA June 20, 1935 to the late Shed and Annie Brown Elam. He attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Amazing Bibleway, Clarksville, VA. He was a retiree of Burlington Industries, Clarksville, VA. Mr. Elam was preceded in death by his wife Mozella Elam, two sisters, Hattie Daniel and Martha Harris, and one brother, Edmond Willie Elam. Cherishing his memories are one daughter, Miss Joyce Elam of Chase City, VA; one sister, Elvira Elam Bryant (Stalin) of Springfield, MD; three brothers-in-law, Robert Harris of Newport News, VA, Thomas McFail of Baltimore, MD and Albert McFail of North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Ida Mae Brown (George) of Baltimore, MD and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lawrence Elam will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Amazing Bibleway of Clarksville, VA with Bishop Ray Stephens, officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
