Larmon J. Brown

Mr. Larmon J. Brown, 74, of Chase City, VA (Finneywood Community) entered eternal rest Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Mr. Brown was born in Charlotte County, VA March 5, 1936 to the late Lennis and Sarah Mallory Brown. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County Schools and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA. He was a retired employee of Harry Diamonds Laboratory, Adelphi, MD. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Viola L. Davis-Brown, and one daughter Claudale. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Ehtel J. Brown; 13-children.  Leroy Brown and Alphonso Brown (JoAnne) of Wilmington, DE; John Brown, Larmon Brown, Jr., Winfred Brown (Jackie), and Lorna Green of Washington, DC; Diana Brown-Gaither (Fred) of Fredericksburg, VA; Carolyn Liggon (Stephen), Upper Marlboro, MD; Juanita Brown, Marietta, Georgia; Christopher Green (Lisa) Chase City, VA and Timothy Green (Angie) of Boydton, VA, LaTanya Green of Fort Mitchell, VA, Sheila Hickson (Charles) of Prospect 34-grandchildren, 13-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Vernice (Sam) Chase City, VA; one aunt, Mrs. Ellsie Ellis of Chase City, VA and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Larmon J. Brown will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Nov 9, 2010 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with Rev. Whitfield Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
