Kevin Darnell Thompson

Mr. Kevin Darnell Thompson, 36, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, December 8, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Thompson was born in South Hill, VA January 29, 1981 to Harry Thompson, Jr. and Mary Ann Tunstall Thompson. He was a 1999 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA. Mr. Thompson was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church, Chase City, VA, there he was a member of the choir, Usher Board, Missionary and a Junior Deacon. He was employed by Global Safety Textile in South Hill, VA. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by a sister, Calissa Renee’ Thompson Redd; paternal grandfather, Harry Thompson, Sr., and an aunt, Lottie Marie Hayes. Cherishing his memories are his son, Kevin Marquise Thompson of Chase City, VA; his parents, Mary Ann and Harry Thompson, Jr. of Chase City, VA; a brother, Harry Thompson III of Chase City, VA; paternal grandmother, Carrie Lee Thompson of Chase City, VA; maternal grandmother, Virginia A. Ogburn of Richmond, VA; three aunts, four uncles and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, December 15, 2017 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park, South Hill, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:00 PM until 7 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
