Kelsey Lenzo Hardy

Mr. Kelsey Lenzo Hardy, 80, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Chase City Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Chase City, VA. Mr. Hardy was born January 26, 1933 to the late Casey and Theora Hardy.  He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA.  He was a United States Army Veteran and was retired from the Town of Chase City. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Shirley E. Hardy; one  son, Warren Kirk Hardy; two grandchildren,  Shaquille and Terence Hardy of Clarksville, VA; two brothers,  Edwin T. Hardy and Alfred J. Hardy (Annie) both of Chase City, VA; six sisters,  Joan H. Gee (Floyd) of Wallington, NJ, Claudette Hutcheson (Nathaniel) of South Hill, VA, Hilda H. Terry (Marshall) and Wanda Royster (John)  both of Chase City, VA, Estell H. Carter (Garland) of Richmond, VA, Alice Miller of Mechanicsville, VA; five   sisters-in-law; one  brother-in-law; a special aunt, Novell Evans of Boydton, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral Services for Mr. Kelsey Lenzo Hardy will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dennis King, officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.  Viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.   Service 1:00 P.M.
