Keith Lloyd Charlton

Mr. Keith Lloyd Charlton, 89, of Keysville, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Charlton was born in Brooklyn, NY July 30, 1924 to the late Evelyn and Elise Charlton. He attended Brooklyn Public Schools and was a graduate of Boys High School. He was formerly employed by the NYC Transit Authority and the NYC Department of Sanitation, from which he retired in 1980.  Upon retiring, he moved to Keysville, VA and attended Calvary Baptist Church ¡n Victoria, VA, and Good Shepherd Catholic Church in South Hill, VA. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Bernice Charlton of Keysville, VA; two daughters, Laura Charlton-Boyer (Don) and Julie Charlton-Washington both of San Antonio, TX; one son, Keith, Jr. (Debbie); seven grandchildren, Kent, Blair, Donnell, Damon, Nicole, Danielle and Kayla; 19 great- grandchildren; two sisters-In-law, Atlas Robinson and Shirley Byrd both of Keysville, VA; one brother-in-law, Goodrich Stokes, Jr. (Joyce) of Silver Spring, MD;  devoted friend, John Bruce of Keysville, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Keith Lloyd Charlton will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 16, 2013 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Lloyd Wesley, Sr., officiating.  Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.   Service 11:00 A. M.
