Katherine Henderson

Mrs. Katherine Henderson 88, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Henderson was born in Dover, NC April 21, 1924 to the late Nathaniel and Ruth White Smith. She attended the schools of Craven County, NC and was a member of Lake Country Community Church. Mrs. Henderson was retired from Home of Sages of Israel, Manhattan, NY In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Quincy Lee Henderson Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Evelyn Lowe (Lance) of Chase City, VA; two sons, Andy Henderson of Brooklyn, NY and Lloyd Henderson (Karen) of Coram, NY;  18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mamie Ruth Jones (Harry) of Chase City, VA; 13 nieces and nephews and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Henderson will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Pastor John Baughman, delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City, VA. Viewing will begin 9:00 A.M. Wednesday morning. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.       Services 10:00 A.M.
