Karl Wendell Rainey

Mr. Karl Wendell. Rainey, 68, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Rainey was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on August 9, 1950 to the late Bob T. and Dr. Bessye C. Rainey. He was a graduate of East End High School, South Hill, VA and furthered his education at Saint Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, VA. Mr. Rainey was a member of New Beginnings Apostolic Deliverance Center in South Hill, VA, and was a former employee of Spaulding Lumber Company, Chase City, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Martin Rainey. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Catherine B. Rainey of Chase City, VA; two daughters, Chanda Carney (Charles) of Richmond, VA and Karlisa Goins (Terry) of Fort Worth, TX; five grandchildren, four sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mr. Karl W. Rainey will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Dr. Sharon E. Peterson officiating. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
