Julia Boyd Robinson

Ms. Julia Boyd Robinson, 85, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Ms. Robinson was born in Mecklenburg County, VA May 17, 1925 to the late John Henry and Alice Booker Boyd. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA and a retiree of Russell Stover Candies, Clarksville, VA. In addition to her parents, Ms. Boyd was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and her oldest granddaughter. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Loretta Hayes of Chase City, VA two grandchildren, Clarice Roberts-Muse (James) of Richmond, VA, Mandy Hayes, Chase City, VA; five great-grandchildren; one brother, William Boyd of Northern, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for MS. Julia Boyd Robinson will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Silone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer, officiating. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City, VA. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
