Mrs. Juanita Pettus Jones, 71, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Chase City Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Jones was born in Chase City, VA on March 25, 1948 to Roberta McFail and the late Butch Studivant. She attended West End High School in Skipwith, VA, and was a member of Silone Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones enjoyed fishing, playing cards, westerns and listening to gospel music. In addition to her father, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Jones; three sisters, Linda Burton, Martha Bacon and Rosa A. Bullock; and six brothers, Willie and James Otis Studivant, Ben, Bernard and Harold Clark, and Earnest McFail. Cherishing her memories are her mother, Roberta McFail of Chase City, VA; two step-daughters, Cheryl Fowlkes of Baltimore, MD and DeShawn Jones (Ray) of Pelham, NC; 10 step-grandchildren; five brothers, Tyrone McFail (Marion), Sandy McFail, Sr. (Delores), Edward McFail (Hester) and John Ace Studivant all of Chase City, VA and Earl Pettus of Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Sylvia Jean McFail of Baltimore, MD and Priscilla McFail of Chase City, VA, four aunts, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Juanita Pettus Jones will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Patricia Liggon delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden in Chase City. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
