Ms. Joyce Marie Pulliam, 66, of Henrico, VA and formerly of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Henrico Doctors Hospital, Richmond, VA. Ms. Pulliam was born in Mecklenburg County, VA May 21, 1951 to the late Richard and Virginia Lee Baskerville. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and at an early age joined Mount Pleasant Baptist Church; upon relocating to Richmond, VA she became a member of Shepherd's Heart Christian Fellowship. Ms. Pulliam held previous employment at Burlington Industries, Jonbil Inc., Russell Stover Candies and for the last ten years at Goodwill Industries in Richmond, VA. In addition to her parents, Ms. Pulliam was preceded in death by two children, Charles T. Pulliam, Jr. and Teressa M. Pulliam and her step-mother, Gwendolyn Baskerville. Cherishing her memories are two daughters, Laura R. Davis of Pennsauken, NJ and Virginia N. Pulliam of Manassas, VA; one son, Dwight Pulliam (Carolyn) of LaCrosse, VA; four grandchildren, India Hicks, Hunter Prophet, Terrance Evans and Myles Davis; one great-grandchild, Malachi Wilkins; two brothers, Robert Baskerville (Claudia) of Newport News, VA and Jason Rex of Camden, NJ; three sisters, Mary V. Tucker of Boydton, VA, Elder Jacqueline H. Coleman (Don) of Richmond, VA and Ina Thompson (Ali) of Camden, NJ; two aunts, Susie Belle Alexander and Esther Crute and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Tyrone Pulliam, Officiating and Pastor Luther Archer, Sr., Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Walker Family Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 12:00 Noon until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
