Joyce Ann Roberts

Ms. Joyce Ann Roberts, 57, of Henderson, NC entered eternal rest Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC. Ms. Roberts was born in Clarksville, VA Jan 3, 1954 to the late Finace Roberts and Anna Hargrove. She was a 1971 graduate of Lincoln High School, Jersey City, NJ and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Oxford, NC. In addition to her father, Ms. Roberts was preceded in death by two aunts, Helen Clark and Shirley Means; three uncles, Sonny Hargrove, James Hargrove and Rufus Clark and a great grandmother, Anna Hope Hargrove a grandchild, Heavenly Adrean Johnson. Cherishing her memories are four daughters, Latishea Mann (Corey)  and April Townes of Henderson, NC, Shena Roberts of Jersey City, NJ and Raishea Haines (Adrain) of Union, NJ; six grandchildren,  her mother, Anna Wilkerson (Edward);step-mother, Jeanie Roberts of Pennsylvania; four sisters, Frances Roberts, Wanda Gregory (Norris), Ever Abdullah (Youself), Vernessa Bronson (Bernard) all of Jersey City, NJ; five brothers, Marshall Roberts (Lisa)  and Alonzo Roberts of Jersey City, NJ, Jerome Roberts of Clarksville, VA, Chris Roberts (Beth) and Kenny Roberts (Tara) of Pennsylvania ; three aunts, Julia Yancey (Lawrence), Martha Terry , Annie Lara Daniel (Clyde) all of Clarksville, VA,  Ruby Towns of Washington, DC, lifetime friend Josephine Stewart of Bullock, NC and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Joyce Ann Roberts will be conducted 12:00 Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Island Christian Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Tina Evans, officiating. Viewing for Ms. Roberts will be Wednesday Nov. 30, from 3 until 7 P.M. at Island Hill Christian Church with the family receiving friends from 6 until 7 P.M. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Homes.
