Mr. Johnny Watson, 71, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Monday, December 31, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Watson was born in Charlotte County, VA July 7, 1942. He received his education in the Charlotte County School System. At an early age he became a member of Salem Baptist Church and served faithfully until his health began to decline. He served as an usher and bell ringer. Johnny retired from Four Oaks Timber Company after 30 years. His favorite past times were playing horse shoes, playing uno watching wrestling and western movies and family cookouts. Johnny was predeceased by his mother, Lottie Watson Carrington, a daughter, Bertha M. Skipwith and a brother, William Watson. Cherishing his memories are his wife of 28 years, Obie Sue Watson of Clarksville, VA; sons, Jerome Watson, Stacey (Bear) Watson (Lakisha) of Arlington, VA, Johnny (Hardrock) , Hickman Watson (Keona) of Red Oak, VA Johnny Watson Jr., Jermaine Wood of Buffalo Junction, VA, Travis Watson (Stephanie) of Clarksville, VA, Charlie Towler (Emma) of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Johanna Smith (Mack), Joyce J. Barnes (Earnest), JoAnn Towler (Rodney), Debbie Harris (Lee), Yvonne Pettus (Glen); 34 grandchildren a special granddaughter, Latasha Hargrove, 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Willie Watson, of Durham, NC; three sisters, Bertha W. Brown of St. Louis, MO, Maria W. Wynne of Newburgh, NY, Veada C. Currin of Saxe, VA; one sister-in-law, Barbara Small (Donald);  brother-in-law, Joe McBee (Daile) and a special brother-in-law, L.T. Pulliam and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Watson will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Roger L. Allen, officiating. Interment will be private. Viewing for Mr. Watson will begin Friday at 1:00 P.M and the family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until service time. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
