Mr. John Wayne Simmons, 53, of Danville, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, VA. Mr. Simmons was born in Washington, DC February 20, 1960 to Matthew Simmons, Sr. and Bessie Baskerville Simmons. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a 1978 graduate of Clifford J. Scott High School, East Orange, NJ. He attended Right Touch Christian Church, Danville, VA and was employed by Noma Business Improvement until his health began to decline. Cherishing his memories are his mother, Bessie B. Simmons of Danville, VA; four sisters, Audrey G. Simmons of Danville, VA, Beverly A. Simmons of Greensboro, NC, Carolyn S Foster (Rudy) of Pelham, NC and Ardell Simmons of Gaithersburg, MD; one brother, Matthew J. Simmons Jr. (Lisa) of Salisbury, NC; six aunts, one uncle, special friend, Willie and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. John Wayne Simmons will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 19, 2013 at Right Touch Christian Church, 513 Worsham St. Danville, VA with Rev. Floyd Stanfield officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday evening form 6 until 8 P.M. at C.H. Harris Funeral Home. Arrangements are by C.H.
