John Thomas Penick Jr.

Mr. John Thomas Penick Jr. 46, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA.  Mr. Penick was born in Mecklenburg County, VA August 17, 1961 to John Sr. and Odell Harris Penick. He attended Bluestone Senior High School and was formerly employed at Butler Lumber Co. and Burlington Industries.  Cherishing his memories is a devoted friend, Joann Ashe of Chase City, VA; two sons, Dwight Ashe and John Ashe both of Chase City, VA; one daughter, Kelly Ashe of Chase City, VA; one grandson, Dmontaz Ashe; his parents, John Sr. and Odell Harris Penick of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Dorothy Penick, Dora Evans (Willie) and Brenda Penick all of Chase City, VA; one brother, Eddie Penick of South Hill, VA; seven aunts, four uncles, one great-aunt and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.  Funeral services for Mr. John Thomas Penick Jr. will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 25, 2008 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Elder Vernell Harper, officiating. Burial will follow in Harpers Temple Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
