Mr. John Lee Williams, Jr., 68, of Victoria, VA entered eternal rest Monday, March 20, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Williams was born in Oxford, NC, April 19, 1948 to the late John and Mary Bass Williams. He attended Granville County Public Schools and was a graduate of Mary Potter High School, Oxford, NC. Mr. Williams was formerly employed by Americast in Ashland, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Pamplin, Sr. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Ellen V. Williams of Victoria, VA; three daughters, Cassandra Harris (Mitchell) of Winston Salem, NC, Debbie Jackson and Adrienne Lewis both of Richmond, VA; one son, Hayden Vernon(Joyce) of Richmond, VA; thirteen grandchildren; three sisters, Jeanette Watkins(Jake) of Buffalo, NY, Synora Fields of Oxford, NC and Darlene Hubble (Mike) of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Melvin Williams(Brenda) of Raleigh, NC and Thomas Williams(Sandra) of Conway, NC ; mother-in-law, Martha Pamplin of Victoria, VA; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; three aunts, Zethro Scott, Annie Bass and Lucille Marrow; one uncle, Nelson Bass(Harriett) and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. John Lee Williams, Jr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria, VA with Rev. William Moore, III officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday, from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City.
