John Henry Cobb Jr.

Mr. John Henry Cobb Jr., 64, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Administration Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mr. Cobb was born in Richmond, VA June 23, 1943 to the late John Henry and Mary McCargo Cobb. He attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA, was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA and a United States Army Veteran. Cherishing his memories are three sisters, Hazel J. Brunson of Chase City, VA, Ruth M. Dailey of Red Oak, VA and Rose Marie Douglas of Marianna, FL; three brothers, Edward Cobb of Hamlet, NC, Leroy McCargo of Drakes Branch, VA and Robert Cobb of Newark, NJ; one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. John Henry Cobb Jr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main St. Chase City, VA
