Joe Louis Daniel

Mr. Joe Louis Daniel, 66, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest Monday, September 28, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Daniel was born in Saxe, VA Oct. 27, 1942 to the late James and Virginia Lindsey Daniel. He attended Charlotte County Schools and was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA. Mr. Daniel was a retired employee of the New Jersey Transit Authority. Cherishing his memories are one daughter, Linda Staten Clements of Roanoke, VA; three sons, Leonard Daniel of Saxe, VA, Clifford R. Daniel and Kenneth L. Daniel both of Hyattsville, MD; three grandchildren, two brothers, Walter Daniel (Gwen) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Alfred L. Daniel of Newark, NJ; two aunts, Joanne Hendricks and Rosa Lee and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funerals services for Mr. Joe Louis Daniel will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery, Charlotte Court House, VA. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Chase City, VA.
