Jimmie Lee Hector

Mr. Jimmie Lee Hector, 70, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, September 4, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Hector was born in Chase City, VA July 29, 1941 to the late Porter Sr. and Cleo Norris Hector. He received his education in the Mecklenburg County School System and was a 2002 retiree of Ford Motor Company, Metuchen, NJ. He was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hector was preceded in death by one sister, Maybell Hector-Smithson and two brothers, Porter Hector, Jr. and Lawyer Hector. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Florence Flowers-Hector of Chase City, VA and former wife, Hilda Coleman-Hector (Pete) of Bailey, NC; three daughters, Deborah Hector Parrish-Dunkins (Mickle), Renee Hector and Nicole Flowers all of Newark, NJ; five step- children, Zul-Lateefa Zahiratu, Linda Miller, Crystal Lynn Flowers, Curtis Dozier and William Flowers all of New Jersey; 32 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Hector of Jonesboro, GA and Henry Hector (Lucy) of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Beatrice Hector-Washington (William) of Washington, DC and Minnie Pearl Hector of Newark, NJ; sisters-in-law, Bessie Hector and Lila Hector and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Lee Hector will be conducted  11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Bluestone Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Lawrence T. Wilkerson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
