Mr. Jerry Jerome Russell, 52, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, July 22, 2017 at VCU/MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mr. Russell was born in South Hill, VA Nov. 23, 1964 to the late Langston Russell, Sr. and Mary L. Salley Russell. He was a 1983 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA and was formerly employed as an electrician with Arc Electric of Richmond, VA. Cherishing his memories are his mother, Mary L. Salley Russell of Chase City, VA; two brothers, James C. Russell of Chase City, VA and Langston Russell, Jr. (Deborah) of South Boston, VA; four sisters, Shirley Wilkins (Larry) of Danville, VA, Evelyn Hayes of Angier, NC, Carolyn L. Russell and Mary Annette Hayes (Elvis) all of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Minister Clarence Noel officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
