Jeanette Osborne Lyons

Mrs. Jeanette Osborne Lyons, 94, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Lyons was born in South Carolina on May 7, 1930 to the late Frank and Perlina Brown Osborne. She attended Holly Rock School in Skipwith and was a homemaker. Mrs. Lyons enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and attending church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lyons; daughters, Helen Gregory and Sarah Clark; sons, Frank L. Lyons, Herbert Lyons, Jr. and Ralph Lyons, Sr., and five brothers and five sisters.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two sons, Wallace Lyons of Chase City, VA and Willie Lyons (Deborah) of Clarksville, VA; daughter, Jannie Puryear (Donnell) of Chase City, VA; seventeen grandchildren to include devoted grandson, John Gregory (Tammy) of Skipwith, VA, whom she raised as her own; thirty great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Belinda Lyons and Dorothy Lyons, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jeanette Osborne Lyons will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Dennis King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
