James Reginald Hutcheson

Mr. James Reginald Hutcheson, affectionately known as “Reggie”, 73, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, September 7, 2015 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC.   Mr. Hutcheson was born in Farmville, VA January 27, 1942 to the late James and Florence Walker Hutcheson.  At an early age he joined St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Union Level, VA where he serves as an Alter Boy. He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and graduated from St. Emma’s Military Academy in Powhatan, Virginia.  After  graduation, he attended Virginia State University, Petersburg, VA.  He later relocated to New York, and began his career as a Bus Dispatcher for the New York City Transit Authority, retiring after  20 plus years of service.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Darren Hutcheson.   Cherishing his memories are his wife of 22 years, Evella Watkins Hutcheson of Clarksville, VA; one daughter, Rhonda Henry (Arthur) of Babylon, NY; one son, Jonathan Hutcheson of Phoenix, AZ; two grandsons, Darren and Devin Henry of Babylon, NY; two brothers-in-law, Ervin L. Watkins (Etta) of Nelson, VA and Christopher A. Watkins of Glen Burnie, MD; devoted cousin, Henry Walker; three special nieces,  Krystle Watkins, Cherrie Pearson and Kendra Watkins and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.   Funeral services for Mr. James Reginald Hutcheson will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Susan Grimm, officiating.  Burial will follow in Wharton Memorial Garden, Nelson, VA.  Public viewing will be held on Sunday from 12:00 noon until 6:00 P.M.   Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.  Services 11:00 A.M. Monday, Sept. 14, 2015  St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church  Clarksville, Virginia Interment  Wharton Memorial Garden Nelson, Virginia Public Viewing  Sunday 12:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.
