James Monroe Lee

Mr. James Monroe Lee, 67, of Buffalo Junction, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Lee was born in Boydton, VA December 25, 1938 to the late Robert Edward and Lucille Brooks Lee. He received his education in Mecklenburg County Schools and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Boydton, VA. James was a carpenter by trade he was also employed by Burlington Industries for a number of years, and for C.H. Harris Funeral Homes for approximately 40 years. Cherishing his memory is his wife, Clara Lee of Buffalo Junction, VA; one daughter, Frances L. Owens (Rodney) of Goochland, VA; four grandchildren Katrina Owens of Goochland, VA, Latasha Hargrove and Anthony Skipwith of Winston-Salem, NC and Minister Tyrese Skipwith of Lawrenceville, VA, six great grandchildren, three sisters, Magdalene Moore of Richmond, VA, Ella Williams of Boydton, VA, Octavia Alexander of Skipwith, VA; three brothers, Robert Edward Lee, Jr. of Buffalo Junction, VA, John Nathaniel Lee of Boydton, VA and Frank Lee of Richmond, VA eight sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, one aunt, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, three devoted friends, George and Gertrude Newton and Mattie Somerville, and a special cousin Ann. Funeral services for Mr. James Monroe Lee will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 24, 2006 at Saint Mark Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Kenneth Stokes, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 until 7 P.M. at C.H. Harris Funeral Home, Clarksville, VA. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home, 216 4th Street, Clarksville, VA.
