James Larry Fisher

Mr. James Larry Fisher, 79, of Victoria, VA and a native of Mecklenburg County entered eternal rest on January 28, 2025 at Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond, VA.

Mr. Fisher was born on February 5, 1945 to the late Annie Manning Durham and Jonson Fisher. He joined Antioch United Christian Church in Townsville, NC at an early age. Mr. Fisher was a graduate of West End High School in Skipwith, VA, Class of 1963. He furthered his education at the University of Maryland, and retired from the United States Army in 1983 where he served for 22 years in Logistics. Mr. Fisher enjoyed cooking, traveling and race cars and never met a stranger.

He leaves to cherish is loving memory is wife of 51 years, Doris Fisher; sister, Linda Fisher; brother, John L. Fisher; two nephews, Darrell and Kerry (Teri) Fisher; niece, Cheryl Fisher; and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. James Larry Fisher will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Woodsworth Baptist Church, Henderson, NC with Rev. Dr. Glendora Hargrove officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P. M.
