James Garland Parrish

Mr. James Garland Parrish, 68, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. Parrish was born December 1, 1937 to the late Willie R. and Ethel M. Thompson Parrish. He was a brick mason and a member of Williams Grove Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Cherishing his memories is a devoted companion, Marie H. Parrish of Red Oak, VA; one son, James A. Parrish of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Robert L. Parrish of Chase City, VA; a daughter-in-law, Dionne Parrish of Virginia Beach, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. James Garland Parrish will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 10, 2006 at Williams Grove Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. Frank Harrison, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening form 6 until 7 P.M. at Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
