James Edward Ogburn

Mr. James Edward Ogburn, 51, of Alexandria, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in Alexandria, VA. Mr. Ogburn was born in Mecklenburg County, VA January 30, 1959 to the late Edward Ogburn and Lucille Oliver Ogburn. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA; was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church and was previously employed at the Pentagon. James loved all sports and computers. Cherishing his memories are his children, Tonia and Michael Brown both of Franklin, VA; three grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Lucille Ogburn of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Elzenia Booker and Kendalle Tucker both of Alexandria, VA; four brothers, Harvey Jenkins (Marie) of Skipwith, VA Bennie Jenkins of Charlestown, MD, Luellen Ogburn (Gloria) and Vincent Ogburn all of Chase City, VA; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Rosa Smith, officiating. Inurnment will take place at Concord Baptist Church at a later date. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
