Deacon James Albert Fuller, 91, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Deacon Fuller was  born January 23, 1921, the beloved son of the late John and Maebud Fuller. Deacon Fuller accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria, VA where he served on the deacon board and many other auxiliaries of the church. He was a member of our nation’s military. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on November 18, 1942 and served in World War II and was honorably discharged from service. Deacon Fuller was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Mae Fuller, one daughter, Floyzell Oliver, one grandchild and eight siblings. Cherishing his memories are  Larry L. Jones (Joyce) of Chase City, Virginia, Melviene Graham (Louis) of Douglasville, Georgia, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, devoted nephew, Kirk Fuller (Lettie) of Drakes Branch, Virginia, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Deacon James A. Fuller will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 27, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church, Victoria, VA with Elder Ester Byrd delivering the eulogy. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing for Deacon Fuller will begin 10:00 A.M. Friday at the church. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
