James A. Love

Mr. James A. Love, 77, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 at VCU/MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA.Mr. Love was born in Mecklenburg County, VA July 9, 1930 to the late Willie and Annie Powell Love. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church # 1 of Clarksville, VA and was employed for many years by Jones Construction Co.Mr. Love was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Love and Esterene Love and three brothers, Willie, Alfred and Richard Love.Cherishing his memories is his wife, Mary Keeton Love, of Skipwith, VA; one Daughter, Lisa Cheatham of Chase City, VA; one son, Joseph E. Keeton (Pauline) of Chase City, VA; two grandsons, Darrell Towsend and Bryan K. Keeton; four sisters, Annie Artis (Ralph) of Capital Heights, MD, Mildred Younger (Frost), Emma Ruffin and Doris Love all of Washington, DC; one uncle, Roger Love of Clarksville, VA; five sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funeral services for Mr. James A. Love will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Rev. Ricky Lee, officiating. Burial will follow in the Love Family Cemetery, Skipwith, VA.Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
