Isabell Hilliard Comer

Mrs. Isabell Hilliard Comer, 98, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. Comer was born in Mecklenburg County, VA October 6, 1914 to the late Josuha and Mary Liza Taylor Hilliard.  She received her early education from St. John School and was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Comer; one daughter, Betty M. Lewis; one grandson and one great-grandson. Cherishing her memories are five grandchildren, Arlene, Betty, Mary, JoAnn and Willie; numerous great-grandchildren; three nieces, Virgie Murray, Dorothy Johnson and Addie Robert and a vast number  of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Isabell Hilliard Comer will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 22, 2013 at St. John Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Charles Sands, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA. Services 1:00 P.M.
