Irma Lee Pulliam White

Mrs. Irma Lee Pulliam White, 95 of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest Friday, August 2, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. White was born in Mecklenburg County, VA September 17, 1917 to the late George Pulliam (Tossie) and Mary Tillerson Pulliam. She was a graduate of historic Thyne Institute, Chase City, VA and a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA. She was a homemaker and a farmer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene A. White; a daughter, Barbara Jean White; a son, Donald White; and her sister, Gladys M. Harris. Cherishing her memories are her devoted grandson, Arnold G. White of Skipwith, VA; devoted daughter-in-law, Margaret K. White of Skipwith, VA; one sister, Louise Gregory of Skipwith, VA; one brother-in-law, Harvey Harris of Skipwith, VA; three sisters-in-law, Laura Bell White and Clara White of Skipwith, VA and Alease White of Richmond, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Irma Lee Pulliam White will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Saint Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Willie L. Carter, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing Tuesday only beginning at 12:00 Noon until service time. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.  Services 1:00 P.M.
