Inez Baptist Cole

Mrs. Inez Baptist Cole “Riggie” 86, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC.   Mrs. Cole was born in Clarksville, VA August 5, 1921 to the late Bailey and Cordelia Ragland Walker. She attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a long time member of St. John Baptist Church. She served in the capacities of missionary, senior choir member, church clerk and the deaconess ministry. She was an active member of the Granville Senior Center organization.   Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. Cole.  She leaves to cherish her memory eight children, Gilbert L. Baptist (Denise) of Irvington, NJ, Floyd A. Baptist (Mozell) of Clarksville, VA, Clyde W. Baptist of Maplewood, NJ, Randolph Cole of Clarksville, VA, Stella Cole Hall of Washington, DC, Christine Cole White of Ft. Washington, MD, Earnestine Cole Gates of Temple Hills, MD, and Belinda Cole Miller (Johnnie) of Ft. Washington, MD; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one sister, Rosa M. Dunbar (Herman) of Westville, NJ; one brother, Joe Johnson of Baltimore, MD and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.   Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Baptist Cole will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2008 at St. John Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Charles Sands, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. at St. John Baptist Church.   Arrangements are by C.H.
