Ineas T. Smith

Mrs. Ineas T. Smith, 94 of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest Friday, December 29, 2006 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA.Mrs. Smith was born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia January 8, 1912 to the late Jim and Liza Tucker. She received her education in the public schools of Mecklenburg County. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA.Ineas was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Andrew Smith, two sons, Charlie Smith Jr. and Joe Lee Smith.Cherishing her memory are two daughters, Nannie Bell Lyons of Hamden, CT and Mary C. Puryear (Edward) of Chase City, VA; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, one devoted granddaughter, Yolanda Smith Staten; one daughter-in-law, Mary Blanche Smith of Skipwith, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.Funeral services for Mrs. Ineas T. Smith will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 5, 2007 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. George Baskerville, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
