Ida May Jeffreys

Mrs. Ida May Jeffreys, 93, of Clarksville, VA entered peacefully into eternal rest Sunday, September 21, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Jeffreys was born in Vance County, NC on May 15, 1921 to the late Walter and Ida Henderson Bullock.  She received her early education in the schools of Vance County and later relocated to New Jersey, where she worked as a private duty Home Health Aid.  Her favorite pastimes included cooking and gardening.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Josiah Jeffreys; one son, James Harvey Jeffreys; one daughter, Ethel Rose Moss; two sisters, Maggie and Beatrice and four brothers, Len, Walter, George and John. Cherishing her memories are three sons, Ricardo Jeffreys, Joe Nathan Jeffreys and Major Jeffreys; five daughters, Ida B. Smith, Eunice Williams, Nancy Holden, Vicky Jeffreys and Valerie Jeffries; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be held 12:00 Noon, October 25, 2014 at Island Hill Christian Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. John Jefferson, Sr., officiating. Arrangements are by C.H.
