Mrs. Ida Mae Wilson Crawley, 81 of Keysville, VA died Friday, June 10, 2022 at Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation, Keysville, VA. Mrs. Crawley was born in Wylliesburg, VA May 26, 1941, she was a 1964 graduate of Central High School. She attended Southside Virginia Community College and received her CNA training and later became a licensed CNA. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In Ida’s spare time, she enjoyed field service and talking to people; and she loved to cook. In addition to her mother, Rosa Wilson, Ida was preceded in death by her husband, John Crawley and two brothers, Edward and Jack Wilson. Her survivors include four daughters, Gertie (Anthony) of Swann Point, MD, Cynthia (Robert) of Keysville, VA, Rosa of Waldorf, MD and Mary (Charlie) of Raleigh, NC; two sons, John (Virginia) of Clover, VA and Curtis of South Hill, VA; 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; her brother, Thomas Wilson of Clover, VA; sister-in-law, Mattie Marable, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with speaker Bro. Jim Haney. Burial will follow in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
