Howard Louis Mccargo

Mr. Howard Louis McCargo , 67 of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mr. McCargo was born in Charlotte County, VA, February 2, 1939 to the late Will and Evergreen Saunders McCargo. He attended the schools of Charlotte County, VA and was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Saxe, VA. Mr. McCargo was preceded in death by one sister, Evergreen Daniel and two brothers, Cleo and James McCargo. Cherishing his memories is his wife, Hattie McCargo of Red Oak, VA; two step-daughters, Viola Jackson of Richmond, VA and Pearl Roberts of Red Oak, VA; one grandson, Brian Roberts of Norfolk, VA; five sisters, Pattie Hosley, Mary Cousin and Beatrice Boyd all of New Jersey, Ellen Daniels and Shirley King both of Saxe, VA; one brother, Sampson McCargo of Saxe, VA; two sisters-in-law, Elvira Boyd and Katie McCargo and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Howard Louis McCargo will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Saxe, VA with Rev. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
