Howard Linwood Mcbee

Mr. Howard Linwood McBee, 63, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, June 17, 2007 at his residence.  He was the fourth child born to the late James and Rosa McBee in Mecklenburg County on February 16, 1944. Howard was educated in the Mecklenburg County school system. At an early age he accepted Christ as his savior at New Hope Baptist Church in Boydton, Va. Howard Linwood McBee and Rachel M. Dokes were united in married in 1967. To this union four children were born. In 1970 he began working at Burlington Industries in Clarksville, Va and later moved on to driving truck for a variety of companies. He was proceeded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Cherishing his memory is his loving wife, Rachel D. McBee of Skipwith, VA; five daughters, Carla Harris of MD, Denise Stewart, Dequta McBee, Tracy McBee-Evans (Melvin), Terra McBee all of VA; one son, Carlton Roberts (Toyia) of MD; 15 grandchildren, Marvin, Markesha, Myesha, Mekah, Jamar, Shaniqua, Tyneisha, Toni, Jamel, Damion, Devin, Dejuah, Samari, Marquis, and Malachi; one great grandchild Mikael; two god-sons, Jerome and Thaddeus; one brother, Joe Louis McBee (Ardell) of Clarksville, VA; two sisters, Obie Sue Watson (Johnny), Barbara Ann Small (Donald); mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Ardell Dokes of Skipwith, VA; three sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; best friends Mr. and Mrs. Norman White and family, Elton Jones; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Howard Linwwod McBee will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 22, 2007 at the chapel of C.H.Harris Funeral Home, Clarksville, VA with Pastor Daniel Darrikhuma, officiating. Burial will follow in Wharton Memorial Gardens, Nelson, VA. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 216 fourth Street, Clarksville, VA.
